CAN WE EVER EXPECT ANYTHING FROM ANYBODY ???!!
can we expect good service in a fine restaurant ?
can we expect the car service to the airport to arrive on time ?
can we expect our friend to
KEEP HER FREAKING WORD ????
where did this concept of 'expectations' come from ?
and when did it fade away ??
are they incongruously 'high' ?
should they be lowered ?
for practicality's sake ??
can we EXPECT ,
without feeling
'BETRAYAL' and 'TRAGEDY' and 'ANGER'
at the
'less than perfect' conclusion to the saga ?
and when the HELL did we STOP EXPECTING RECIPROCITY???
AND WHY ????
when did we lose sight of the FAIRY TALE ???
are expectations no longer 'in vogue' ??
should we 're configure' our lists
of HOPES and DREAMS,
so that despair and 'deflated equilibrium'
will not ensue ?
