we have become prisoners......
LONE PRISONERS of small screens,
situated on our laps....
hoping, beyond hope,
that these DEVICES
will furnish ANSWERS to
life's perplexities......
let's examine the sheer "WEIRDNESS" of such an aspiration......
in times past......
we would GO OUT....
in order to fulfill our needs, desires, goals, etc......
WE WOULD GO "OUT"......
but ironically, today......
we,
'en masse',
appear to be going "IN"....
it's really somewhat TRAGIC.......
and what of FRESH AIR ?
shall we pack our laptop into the picnic basket ???
in order to "STAY IN TOUCH" ?
are we having entire RELATIONSHIPS "ONLINE" ????
WHAT ??!!
there is something wholly alarming about this state of "INERTIA".......
