then along came a spider......

and frightened little miss 'WHO AM I KIDDING?' away......
and as she fled the 'haute' scene, the heel of her 'Manolo' was caught in the grating on the sidewalk.......
and it was chopped right off !!! of the 750+, strappy sandal......
and well......
i guess you know the rest.....
she hailed a cab......
weeping over the loss of the shoe......
macabre.......truly.......
as luck would have it, a drunken chassid appeared on the scene.....
recognized the heel immediately......
( having been in the wholesale designer shoe business for most of his life )
and went in search of MISS MUFFET.... ( berger ) !!
as he knocked on door after door,
whilst being EXTRA CAREFUL to kiss EACH AND EVERY MEZZUZAH ! ....
he witnessed a kind of 'euphoric mania'.......
as the Jews in the hood were preparing for shabbos.......
not withstanding the news of the lost 'Manolo'.......
and of the 'fair maiden', last seen hailing a taxi.....

what happened next still has them yakking and gossipping and canoodling.......
TO THIS DAY!!!
the chasid was coming to the end of his search, as shabbos was nearing......
he still had the 18 minute window in which to wrap up the unsuccessful day......
when he passed a kosher bakery.......
STILL OPEN !!!!
odd......very odd......
and the aroma of the freshly baked challahs pervaded his nostrils to such an extent, that he HAD to have a bite!!!
behind the counter was a young woman.......
auburn haired......green eyed........
A VISION !!!!
the chasid knew immediately that this fair,
young woman was the damsel who'd lost the shoe only the night before !!!!
