one of those UTTERLY annoying flies...
innocuous in a way...
yet DANGEROUS in another...
but EVER PRESENT,
to be sure....
And no matter WHAT you do...
you CANNOT shake them....
You try...
IGNORING THEM....
INSULTING THEM....
COMPLIMENTING THEM on their ability to "move on"...
Giving them LIE DETECTOR tests...

But NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO....
they just won't go AWAY !!
So...
THEY STAY...
just like the fly who snuck into the house in the beginning of the summer....
He lives there ,
with YOU,
on the TIP of your nose...
on your arm....
essentially UP YOUR ASS....

FOR MONTHS ON END....
He's ON you EVERY NIGHT...lol
Until one day....
when the windows are inadvertently opened....
and he thinks he SEES....(can flies SEE ?)
something that looks like a GREENER PASTURE....
So...
he FINALLY heads out....
and you CLOSE that window VERY QUICKLY....
VERY TIGHLY...
But somewhere...
in the recesses of your mind...
you KNOW,
full well,
that He'll be back....
and the knowledge makes you CRINGE......
Shut your doors and windows, my friends....
PROTECT YOURSELVES from the FLY.....
